History

Launched in 1992

Since 1992 the Fraunhofer ICT has hosted the symposium "Airbag 2000+" which, with over 1000 participants every other year, has become the most important forum for the airbag industry. Under the direction of a programme committee made up of representatives from politics, the vehicle industry and suppliers, contributions are selected covering a range of topics, for example:

• National and international legislation
• Vehicle safety
• Occupant risks
• Airbag technology
• Production processes
• Environmental protection
• Marketing for airbag systems
• Product liability

As long as the dynamic airbag market, which is characterised by the high engagement of the suppliers, maintains its high momentum, the "Airbag 2000+" symposium will build a bridge between all the key players in airbag development and application.
